About Workplace Health Services

Workplace Health Services have been providing a broad range of health promotion and counseling services to workplaces in Essex County since 1987. Our scope of interventions into corporate environments span from corporate education including retirement planning, wellness seminars, and consultations, and corporate change support; to individual and family work-life counseling, financial and legal support and referral.

In 1996 CMHA Windsor-Essex County Branch initiated a 3yr. pilot project with Green Shield Canada with intent to introduce a joint Employee Assistance Program and Workplace Health Promotion service. By 1998 CMHA-WECB and Green Shield Canada had formed a partnership for the provision of Employee Assistance Programming and have been actively marketing services since that time.

In 1999 CMHA-WECB sought program accreditation through the Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA) and in October of 1999 received sanction by this organization.
